Reading: This week in reading, we will celebrate our first unit of study, Interpretation Book Clubs. After that, we will show what we know about nonfiction reading, reflect on our Interpretation Post Assessments, and begin delving into the world of nonfiction!
Writing: This week in writing, we will celebrate our first unit of study, Narrative Craft. After that, we will show what we know about narrative writing, reflect on our Post Assessments, and take a Pre-Assessment for our next unit, The Lens of History: Research Reports.
Math: This week in math, we will continue to multiply 2-digit by 3-digit numbers. Students will review the Array Method, Partial Products, and then finally learn how to use the Standard Algorithm (Tradition Method).

Social Studies:This week in Social Studies, students will continue to learn about rights and privileges granted to all members of society. Students will be able to earn and spend money, open a savings account, go to work, and take a break from working. This will help students understand their place in an economy.
Science: This week in science, students will learn about the best environment for different animals to live in and we will begin to explore basic food chains.
